Steve Spurrier Jr. has moved on from Mississippi State, and has reportedly landed a new job as Tulsa’s offensive coordinator.

FootballScoop reported the news as Kevin Wilson fills out his new staff with the Golden Hurricane. Spurrier Jr. arrives at Tulsa after he spent the last few seasons with Mike Leach at Mississippi State where he coached the receivers before being elevated to offensive coordinator for the bowl game.

Zach Arnett re-tooled his Mississippi State staff, and earlier this week hired Chad Bumphis, an all-time wide receiver at State, from Utah as the new wide receivers coach.

Spurrier Jr. coached with Leach at Washington State beginning in 2018. Previously, from 2005-15 Spurrier Jr. was at South Carolina as offensive coordinator/pass game coordinator/wide receivers.

He spent the 2015 season as an offensive analyst at Oklahoma before he moved to Western Kentucky for a season as assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach.
