Though the Mississippi State Bulldogs picked up an impressive upset victory over Texas A&M last weekend, it wasn’t enough to keep a top 2017 JUCO tight end committed to the program.
On Wednesday afternoon, Ravian Pierce, a three-star prospect from Southwest Mississippi Community College, announced on Twitter that he’d be taking official visits to other schools:
I appreciate everything that Mississippi state has done for me, but I have made the decision to de-commit to take other officials visits…

According to 247Sports, Pierce is the No. 3 JUCO tight end in the class of 2017 and the No. 15 overall JUCO recruit from the state of Florida.
Pierce was also recruited by SEC schools like Florida, LSU, Mizzou, South Carolina and Tennessee before committing to Mississippi State.
