After 5 seasons at Mississippi State, Tucker Day is off to the NFL Draft. The Bulldog punter shared his decision Thursday on his Twitter account.

Day joined the program in 2017, playing 2 games in his first year and redshirting. He would play 48 games over the next 4 seasons.

Day, who graduated in December 2020, had the option to return for a sixth year of college football due to the NCAA’s COVID waiver. Due to the pandemic, the NCAA did not count the 2020 season against athletes’ 4 seasons of eligibility in a 5-year window.

Day’s decision doesn’t come as a surprise. The Brentwood, Tennessee native took part in MSU’s Senior Day this season.
