For any athlete, the beginning of the season is a special thing.

The fans are at a fever-pitch when cheering on the respective squad. There’s an ever present energy surrounding the atmosphere. And (perhaps most important to some), the team gets to wear fresh, new uniforms.

Mississippi State took to Twitter to announce which uniforms the Bulldogs will wear for its season opener against South Alabama.

The classic maroon and white appearance will be prominently featured at 12:00 p.m. ET on the SEC Network — as Dan Mullen’s team looks to start the season 1-0.
