WATCH: Tommy Stevens gets benched, leading to Garrett Shrader's first career TD
The Mississippi State Bulldogs are locked in a tight battle against Kansas State on Saturday in Starkville.
Since QB Tommy Stevens wasn’t playing particularly well, the Bulldogs made a change and put in true freshman Garrett Shrader following a Stevens interception.
As you can see below, Shrader led the Bulldogs down the field and then ran the ball into the end zone for his first-career score:

We’ll see how much action Shrader gets going forward, but that was a very nice drive for the Mississippi State freshman. Mississippi State currently leads Kansas State 21-17 late in the third quarter.
