Mississippi State football struggled a bit when it opened up conference play against the LSU Tigers last month, but the Bulldogs returned to it with a vengeance on Saturday. The team hardly could have played more complementary football as it bested Texas A&M in all three phases of the game in Davis Wade Stadium, coming out with the 42-24 victory.
Bulldogs head coach Mike Leach met with the media following the win, particularly praising the performance of the offensive line and the defensive line in addition to detailing how quarterback Will Rogers has only continued to take a step.
MSU will look to continue its success as it faces the No. 20-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday.
Mike Leach on Will Rogers' performance tonight and his progression:
"He's gotten better at utilizing the weapons around him more quickly, more decisively."
Says he's also improved in timing and "getting back on balance."
