The offense once again was abysmal for Mississippi State on Saturday, as the Bulldogs lost to Auburn, 27-13.

The Bulldogs rushed for 186 yards as a team, but didn’t get into the endzone until the final quarter when the game was out of reach. After a 2-0 start, Mississippi State has lost 4 of its last 6 games.

Coach Zach Arnett talked about the first half defensive struggles as well as well as the team lacking intensity to start the game.

While things aren’t going well right now for Mississippi State, the Bulldogs still have a chance to make a bowl. The Bulldogs have to win 2 of their last 4 games to make a bowl. The final 4 teams on the schedule for Mississippi State are Kentucky, at Texas A&M, and then 2 home games to close the season against Southern Mississippi and Ole Miss.

The start for a bowl berth begins next week at home against Kentucky, and that game will kickoff at 7:30 pm ET on the SEC Network.
