Will Rogers is rewriting the Mississippi State record books. A pair of records belonging to Bulldog great Dak Prescott fell Saturday.

Rogers topped Prescott’s single-season record of 29 touchdowns on Mississippi State’s first possession of the Tennessee State game with a 21-yard pass to Austin Williams for a TD. On the second possession, Rogers broke Prescott’s record of 3,793 passing yards in a season. Rogers entered the game with 3,722 passing yards. A pass to Jamire Calvin put Rogers over the mark.

At the end of the first quarter, MSU leads Tennessee State 21-0. Rogers is 12-of-14 passing for 138 yards and 2 touchdowns.

With Rogers’ excellent execution of Mike Leach’s Air Raid scheme, he may rewrite all the major Mississippi State passing records.
