Will Rogers and Jo’Quavious Marks, after 4 years at Mississippi State, both entered the transfer portal. And both players could be nearing a decision as to where they’ll be spending their final years of eligibility.

According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Rogers and Marks are both set to take an official visit to Washington beginning on Friday. Per Thamel, the Huskies are “the strong favorite” for Rogers’ services.

In 4 seasons at Mississippi State, Rogers totaled 12,315 yards, 94 touchdowns, and 28 interceptions. His best season came in 2021 as he threw for 4,739 yards, 36 TDs, and 9 picks, but his production has dipped since then partially due to a shoulder injury in 2023 that held him out for several games.

As for Marks, he finished 2023 with 573 yards and 4 touchdowns on 121 carries while making 23 catches for 167 yards and 2 scores. For his career, he has 1,883 yards rushing and 1,225 yards receiving.

The Huskies, of course, are in the College Football Playoff and looking to replace Heisman finalist Michael Penix Jr. behind center as he is in his final year of eligibility. Current Huskies running back Dillon Johnson, himself a former Mississippi State player, has 1 year of eligibility left but has not yet made a decision on 2024.
