Willie Gay missed the first three games of the season for Mississippi State due to a violation of team rules. In his first game this season, it didn’t take him long to show what the Bulldogs were missing with the talented linebacker sitting on the bench the first three weekends of the season.

In the first quarter of the Kentucky game, Gay picked off Kentucky quarterback Sawyer Smith and took the interception back to the house to give Mississippi State the first points of the contest.
