Zavion Thomas shows off SEC speed with early spark for Mississippi State
Zavion Thomas turned on the burners to dust Texas A&M’s special teams unit on Saturday.
The sophomore receiver started the game off the best way possible, taking the opening kickoff 94 yards to the house to give Mississippi State an early lead. The Texas A&M defenders didn’t stand a chance as Thomas went untouched on his way to the endzone.

The housed kick return was Thomas’ second career kickoff returned for a touchdown. It’s clear Thomas is one of the best return men in the SEC.
Texas A&M managed to respond to the early touchdown, scoring on its first drive of the game to tie things up. Now the Bulldogs are looking to regain the lead as they search for a huge win. Mississippi State is on the cusp of bowl eligibility, and a win on Saturday would help it reach that goal.
