Sam Horn is currently playing his senior season at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Ga., and he’s off to a strong start. But he’s also excited about what the future holds.

The 4-star quarterback committed to Missouri in February and could potentially become the Tigers’ starter in the near future. He’s part of their 2022 recruiting class that ranks 18th in the country, per the 247Sports Composite team rankings.

On Thursday night, Collins Hill defeated North Gwinnett, 35-7, to improve to 8-0 in a matchup that aired live on ESPN2. Horn passed for 264 yards and 4 touchdowns, then discussed being part of Mizzou’s 2022 class after the game.

“I’m from Atlanta, obviously, and all those guys are up from Kansas City, St. Louis, and we already have a good bond,” Horn said on the broadcast. “We have a group chat and everything, so we’re already talking, and those guys are cool guys. I’ve seen their film, they’ve seen my film. There’s some special players in that class, a lot of underrated guys in that class. So we’re excited to get up there, give us a chance to hopefully start as a freshman or something like that.”

Horn is the No. 9 quarterback in the 2022 class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings, and is the No. 102 overall recruit. He has the potential to lead Missouri’s offense to plenty of success during his time there.

But before Horn joins the Tigers, he has to finish his high school career. And he may be helping put together a special season for Collins Hill as it looks to stay undefeated moving forward.
