Chris Mills appears to be taking the next step to leave Mizzou and continue his college football career.

Just over two weeks ago it was reported that Mills was no longer listed on the updated roster. Now, Rivals is reporting that the veteran defensive back had entered the NCAA transfer portal.

A native of Converse, Texas and a 3-star prospect coming out of Judson High School, Mills committed to Mizzou on Dec. 5, 2017, signing as part of the class of 2018, choosing the Tigers over 12 other scholarship offers.

Mills redshirted his first season MU campus. As a redshirt freshman, he played in two games in 2019. Last season, Mills appeared in six games. He recorded five tackles over those two seasons, four coming in 2020.
