Missouri is currently prepping to hit the road for the season opener at Wyoming on Saturday but the Tigers will be doing so without two offensive players that were expected to be on the roster this fall.

During his Tuesday media availability, Odom announced receiver Alex Ofodile has retired from football and quarterback Lindsey Scott plans to leave Missouri via transfer in an attempt to find a better opportunity to see the field.

According to Odom, Ofodile is at peace with his decision and has already received a Master’s degree from Missouri. The Columbia native began his college career at Oregon before transferring to Missouri. His father, A.J. Ofodile, is Mizzou’s tight ends coach. Ofodile appeared in 11 games last fall, his only season as a Tiger.

Scott transferred into Missouri from East Mississippi Community College after starting his college career at LSU. Scott led EMCC to the 2017 NJCAA national championship and served as Missouri’s scout team quarterback last season. He did not appear in any regular season games last fall.
