Missouri’s last-second loss against Kentucky has raised the heat on coach Barry Odom as fans have become increasingly impatient and irritated with the Tigers’ performance.

Odom has not beaten a ranked team, and the Kentucky loss was especially tough to swallow, given the Tigers’ 14-3, and late Kentucky timeout that helped the Wildcats score the game-winning TD. Odom also hasn’t beaten Kentucky, as the Wildcats have a four-game winning streak in the series.

Odom is in his third season at Missouri, and in December agreed to a two-year contract extension through 2022. His contract is set to keep him with the Tigers through the 2022-23 season.

Last season was a series of streaks, from a five-game losing streak, to a six-game winning streak to close the regular season. But this year, the Tigers have dropped four of the last five games, and have another tough game at Florida next week with a 4-4 record.
