The Missouri Tigers looked to clinch their second consecutive SEC East title in Saturday’s game against Arkansas. The Tigers faced a 14-14 tie with 10:42 remaining in the fourth quarter. After beginning its drive on its own 15-yard line, Missouri ran its way to victory.

Gary Pinkel’s team ran 10 running plays during a 12-play, 85-yard drive that lasted 6:04. Russell Hansbrough kicked off the drive with a 10-yard run, followed by a 25-yard gain on the next play. Marcus Murphy added 12 yards on the ensuing first down and another nine two plays later. Murphy capped off the drive with a 12-yard run to give Missouri its first lead of the game.

The Tigers held on, keeping Arkansas scoreless for the remaining 4:38 of the game. The Razorbacks, one of the SEC’s most run-heavy offenses, were beaten by their own scheme after failing to stop the Missouri rushing attack.
