You could make the case that Missouri is the hottest team on the recruiting trail in the Southeastern Conference over the last week as the Tigers suddenly have added several commitments in a very short span of time and just added another name to the program’s growing list of commitments.

The latest win for Eli Drinkwitz’s program on the recruiting trail comes from Tennessee running back BJ Harris, who announced his commitment to the Tigers on Thursday.

The McCallie School standout helped his program win the state title last season and now plans to take his talents from Chattanooga to Columbia.

The 5-foot-10, 193-pound Harris is rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 45 running back prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Harris picked Mizzou over scholarship offers from LSU, Mississippi State, Kentucky and Georgia Tech.

Based on his junior season film, Harris possesses an outstanding combination of toughness in addition to the speed necessary to break big plays on the field. One aspect of his game that will be important in Drinkwitz’s offense is his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.

Harris looks to be another piece of the puzzle Missouri needs to turn around the program’s offense in a hurry.
