Blake Baker, Missouri DC, reflects on performance vs. Georgia, pregame jawing
Blake Baker may have cooked up a scheme with the Missouri defense that kept Georgia off balance for much of the game last Saturday, but the Tigers defensive coordinator gives much of the credit to his players.
At the end of the day Georgia showed its championship mettle and pulled out a 26-22 win on the road. Still Baker had nothing but positive things to say about the way his unit plays.
Blake Baker on Mizzou's defense vs. Georgia: "Some of it was scheme. Some of it, I just think we have really good players. I don't mean this in an arrogant way, but I don't think Georgia had played a defense like us leading up to that game."

There was a lot of trash talk during pre-game warmups. It wasn’t a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but Baker suggests that it might have gotten his players fired up even more.
Mizzou DC Blake Baker on the pregame jawing between Georgia's D-line and MU's D-line: "We want to represent this university the right way. At the same time we're not gonna back down from anybody. So I'm gonna leave it at that."

Missouri was a massive underdog going into Saturday’s game and were also probably in search of some respect. The Tigers didn’t get the win, but they played top-ranked Georgia down to the final seconds and gave the Bulldogs its toughest challenege to date this season.
