Brady Cook and Missouri are off to a quick start against LSU as they look to improve to 6-0 on the season.

The Mizzou defense got to work on LSU’s opening possession, forcing a 3-and-out to get the ball 2 minutes into the game from their own 13. Cook did most of the work from there, leading Mizzou down the field by completing 5 of his 6 passes for 82 yards and capping it with an 18-yard touchdown pass to Theo Wease Jr. to make it 6-0.

Take a look at Wease’s scoring grab below:

Instead of kicking for the extra point, Eli Drinkwitz decided to be agressive and go for 2. And it worked, as Cook took it into the end zone himself to make it 8-0.

Mizzou hasn’t started off a season 5-0 since 2013, when it opened with a 7-0 mark, won the SEC East, and defeated Oklahoma State in the Cotton Bowl Classic. Against a much-maligned LSU defense, things appear to be clicking from the get-go.
