Former Missouri Tigers quarterback Chase Daniel doesn’t see the football field often given his role as a backup, but he’s had a long career at the next level and is among the quarterbacks to make a preseason appearance this week.

Daniel completed 11-of-17 passes for 117 yards for the Los Angeles Chargers with 2 touchdowns and no interceptions in the 29-22 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, and his son was there to share the special moment of watching his father run out of the tunnel.

“All the feels!!,” Daniel tweeted. “P-Man is finally understanding what daddy does for a living and started tearing up when I ran out of the tunnel last night!”

Daniel didn’t post any numbers on the field last season, but has made some NFL appearances between his stops with the New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and now Los Angeles.

Over 12 seasons at the professional level, Daniel has completed 68.2% of his passes for 1,694 yards with 8 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
