Dennis Gates understands that one key decision for Missouri’s roster next season is Kobe Brown’s NBA future.
Speaking with reporters on Thursday, the Missouri coach said Brown’s impending NBA Draft decision will have more clarity after the combine in Chicago, which runs from May 16-18.
“We won’t know until that Chicago combine (when) the feedback is where it should be for him to make a decision for him and his family,” Gates said.
As for the rest of the roster, and pending decisions on transfers, Gates said he will maintain his style of play.
“Having the right people in your locker room to fit your style of play, I’m not changing my style of play,” he said. “We’re going to get better and tweak individuals, but I’m still trying to lead the country in 3-point shooting. I’m still trying to lead the country in positive assist/turnover ratio. … I still want to put pressure offensively and defensively, and you gotta still find the right guys. We had the right guys in the locker room last year, we have to make sure we have the right guys in the locker room this year.”
