Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock has been out of action since Week 2, sustaining an injury to his right shoulder against the Steelers.

But it could be sooner rather than later that we will see the former Missouri standout back on the football field, according to his head coach.

“He definitely could start on Sunday (in New England) as he looks now,” said Denver head coach Vic Fangio—according to ProFootballTalk—while adding that it has yet to be a final decision. “He had a good practice today, so we’ll see how it goes.”

The Broncos last played on Oct. 1, a win against the Jets on “Thursday Night Football”. They were set to play the Patriots on Oct. 11, but a coronavirus outbreak among the New England ranks, most notably involving quarterback Cam Newton and cornerback Stephon Gilmore, caused the game to ultimately be scheduled for this coming Sunday.

Before his injury, Lock threw for 216 yards in a loss to the Titans in Week 1.
