Tigers continue to build momentum as Missouri flips 4-star receiver Dominic Lovett from Arizona State
Turns out, the momentum of Eli Drinkwitz’s Missouri program isn’t limited to what’s going on the field in Columbia.
No, the excitement surrounding the Missouri program also extends to recruiting as the Tigers just flipped one of the biggest targets on the team’s 2021 recruiting board as East St. Louis High School standout Dominic Lovett announced his decision to flip his commitment from Arizona State to Missouri.
Adding to this victory for Mizzou is the fact that Lovett plays with the program’s 2021 quarterback commit Tyler Macon. Macon, one of the rising quarterback prospects in the nation, was one of the earliest wins for Drinkwitz on the recruiting trail upon his arrival in CoMo.
Macon advanced to the Elite 11 Finals this year.
Now with the two Belleville, Ill., natives both committed to Missouri’s 2021 recruiting cycle, the chemistry between the two prolific prospects will extend well beyond their high school careers.
The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Lovett is rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 55 overall recruit prospect in the nation and a top 350 overall recruit in the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is also now the second-highest rated prospect committed to Missouri for the 2021 recruiting cycle.
Mizzou’s recruiting class now features 21 total commitments.
