One of the best receiver prospects from the Midwest region in the 2021 recruiting cycle is getting closer to making his decision.

That’s because Dominic Lovett of East St. Louis High School announced on Monday that he plans to announce his college decision on Sept. 11.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Belleville, Ill., native is rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 4 overall recruit from Illinois, and a top 350 overall recruit in the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The East St. Louis High School standout registered 1,536 receiving yards and 17 touchdown receptions for the defending state champions last season leading to programs like Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Missouri and Oregon to offer Lovett scholarship offers.

Landing Lovett would be a huge recruiting victory for Eli Drinkwitz’s Missouri program but he’ll have to beat out several nationally elite programs to do it.
