While many Missouri football fans were probably following the NFL Draft, it was a big day for future Tigers teams. Eliah Drinkwitz’s staff picked up a pair of commitments from in-state prospects on Saturday.

St. Louis RB Taj Butts pledged first. The 5-11, 205-pounder out of DeSmet Jesuit High is rated 3-stars, the No. 9 player in the state, No. 40 running back and No. 561 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2021 on the 247Sports Composite.

Later, Saturday evening, fellow in-state prospect Ryan Hoerstkamp joined the 2021 class. Out of Washington, Missouri, Hoerstkamp is rated the state’s No. 14 recruit, No. 36 tight end and No. 796 prospect overall in the class.

With the new additions, Mizzou’s 2021 class is now up to six pledges. It is ranked No. 34 nationally and No. 5 on the SEC in the Composite. Butts’ Composite score of 0.8638 is the highest of all six commits.

Commitment announcements and highlights for both players can be viewed below:
