Drew Lock lit up the Houston Texans in his first road start, going 22-of-27 for 309 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in Denver’s 38-24 win at Houston. It’s one of the best ever first road starts for a rookie, so it’s no surprise that Lock has been officially recognized as the NFL’s Rookie of the Week.

Lock bested four other rookies, including two SEC alums, for the award: Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown, Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson, Bills running back Devin Singletary and Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton. Lock joins Jacksonville’s Gardner Minshew and Arizona’s Kyler Murray as quarterbacks to earn the honor this season.

No longer being held back, Lock is off to an impressive start. In two games, he is 40-of-55 passing for 443 yards, 5 TD and 2 INT. The second-round pick looks to keep it going when the Broncos face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in Arrowhead Stadium.
