Wednesday night’s Mizzou-Florida game had plenty of drama right up until the buzzer.
The Tigers took a 70-62 lead in Gainesville with roughly two minutes left in the game. Mike White’s squad battled back, though, going on an 8-0 run to make it 70-70 with just seconds left on the clock. On Mizzou’s final possession, Dru Smith came through at the last second with a reverse layup, putting MU up 72-70. The Gators were unable to answer with just 0.7 seconds left on the clock.

Cuonzo Martin’s squad picks up a major Quad 1 win for its NCAA Tournament resume. Florida’s Tre Mann led all scorers with 21 points. Two keys to Mizzou’s victory were the three-point and turnover battles. The Tigers were 9-of-22 behind the line while the Gators were just 5-of-14. UF also turned the ball over 18 times to MU’s 13.
