Eli Drinkwitz regretted how he handled himself on the sidelines at the Georgia game during Tuesday’s press conference.

Drinkwitz said that there were some moments during the game where his frustrations boiled over. He wanted to clarify that the behavior didn’t represent his character and that he needs to be better.

He apologized to his daughters and the officials who were at the game as well.

“I would like to take a few minutes to apologize for my sideline demeanor during the course of the game. During Saturday’s contest there were a few moments where I let the frustrations boil over,” said Drinkwitz. “After reviewing the film, I clearly had inappropriate language that was not reflective of my character, and I need to be better. I need to apologize to my daughters and the officials too.”

Missouri ended up losing to Georgia 30-21. The Tigers had 8 penalties called on them for 49 yards.

Missouri will be looking to end a 4-game losing streak to Tennessee on Saturday. Last season’s meeting ended with a 66-24 loss. The all-time series between the Vols and Tigers is 6-5 in favor of Tennessee.

Missouri could tie up the series with a win in Columbia. Kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. ET.
