It has been a decade since the Missouri Tigers and Kansas Jayhawks have met on the gridiron. One of the best rivalries in college sports has been dormant since the Tigers left the Big 12 for the SEC.

But, there’s hope on the horizon for fans of the rivalry, as the 2 schools will meet in Columbia in 2025 before the Jayhawks host a game in 2026.

During a media appearance on Tuesday, Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz had a message for newly hired Kansas coach Lance Leipold:

That will be a huge game for both schools. Drinkwitz is sparking the rivalry talk early, but it is sure to continue over the next 4 years.

After the 2025/26 home-and-home series, the Tigers and Jayhawks will also play each other in 2031 (in Columbia) and 2032 (in Lawrence).
