The No. 14 Missouri Tigers are getting set to face Florida this weekend.

But before they go up against the Gators, Mizzou will honor its 27 seniors on the team.

Mizzou will honor the players on Senior Night this Saturday, just prior to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.

“These guys have a combination of what makes the team so unique,” Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz. “It’s a combination of guys who have spent their entire careers here.”

Drinkwitz said a lot of the seniors “stayed through a coaching transition” when he came on as head coach in 2020.

“And they believed in me. They stay committed to us, and some committed while we were in the transition,” Drinkwitz said. “There were others who chose to join us on their journey.”

Drinkwitz called these 27 seniors a “special group of men” who have “restored the roar at Mizzou.”

“I’m just appreciative to these men who have seen tough days, but great days,” Drinkwitz said. “Hopefully they get another opportunity to run out in front of a sold-out Faurot Field and play their last game for the Missouri Tigers.”

Drinkwitz said he realizes that Thanksgiving break is next week, but hopes students stick around for an extra day and pack the student section on Saturday night.
