If there’s one thing we have learned about the Early Signing Period it’s that new hires that are made following the regular season have essentially no chance to catch back up and close ground in recruiting while going up against programs with continuity at the head coaching position.

That’s a reality facing all programs in this new era of recruiting.

However, while Eli Drinkwitz’s Missouri program may have come out of the Early Signing Period missing out on several targets, the Tigers had more scholarship opportunities than most heading into National Signing Day and made the most out of those opportunities, closing with many key prospects the program coveted.

The Tigers finished the 2020 recruiting cycle with 16 signees, one commit (Chance Luper) and one transfer (Damon Hazelton), filling many holes in the process.
