Eli Drinkwitz praises Mizzou offense, brushes off 28 points allowed in second half of 59-28 victory
The Missouri Tigers took a 38-0 lead into halftime of Saturday’s game against FCS Southeast Missouri.
That’s when the starters on both sides of the ball came out, and that’s when the Redhawks started looking better. Still, it wasn’t enough, as Mizzou cruised to an easy 59-28 victory.
After the game, coach Eli Drinkwitz spoke with the media. Here’s what he said about a number of things from Saturday’s contest:
On Connor Bazelak playing up his injuries:
Drinkwitz says Bazelak has been doing a good acting job every time he gets hit, told him to "cut that crap out"

On the Tigers’ depth in the receiving corps:
Drinkwitz joked with WR coach Bush Hamdan that he's got a hockey line coming with how deep the wide receiver room is. A dozen Tigers caught a pass today.

The Tigers head east next weekend for a nonconference game against Boston College. That won’t be easy for Drinkwitz and the Tigers.
