Eli Drinkwitz praises seniors, says Florida win was like the story of their career
Eli Drinkwitz continues to lead Missouri to new heights, and the latest example was the last-second win over Florida on Saturday, 33-31.
Down 31-30 with just 1:36 left in the game, the Tigers delivered a dramatic drive led by wide receiver Luther Burden III, who got to the 13-yard line shortly after he converted a 4th-and-17 situation when Burden caught a pass from quarterback Brady Cook.
The Tigers improved to 9-2 overall and 5-2 in the SEC.
Running back Cody Schrader churned out 148 rushing yards, including 127 which came in the first half.
Here are some of Drinkwitz comments:
#Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz is here speaking to reporters now:
“What a way to send the senior class. This game is sort of the story of their career. Really proud of them. It wasn’t perfect. Defense has a lot of things to work on.”

Defensively have a lot of things we’re gonna have to really work on. Florida offense kept us off balance. “Our team found a way.”

Drinkwitz was concerned “because of the emotion we’ve had to play with the previous two weeks.” Credits the fans for the energy tonight.
