Eli Drinkwitz is as big of a fan of Luther Burden as anyone.
The freshman wide receiver is lighting the world on fire for the Tigers. He’s one of the bright spots on a struggling Tigers squad so far this season.
Drinkwitz said Wednesday that his wife told him to put Burden on punt return duty. When he returned the first punt of the game for a score, Drinkwitz received an ‘I told you so.’
Eli Drinkwitz tonight: “My wife had been telling me Luther needs to be back on punt return. After the game I got the ‘I told you so.’”

It seems Drinkwitz’s wife needs to be more involved in personnel movement for the Tigers. Mizzou is 2-1 heading into a winnable SEC matchup against Auburn on the docket.
I’d put Burden on punt return duty against the Tigers if I were Drinkwitz.
