Eli Drinkwitz and Missouri defeated Mississippi State 39-20 at Davis Wade Stadium on Saturday. But the margin of victory could have been a little higher for the Tigers.

With less than 90 seconds to go in regulation, the Tigers were in position to score again with the ball at the Bulldogs 1 after Mississippi State’s Hunter Washington was hit with a personal foul. Ultimately, Drinkwitz called for a series of kneel-downs to end the game, but that doesn’t mean that he was tempted to punch the ball in one last time — at least judging by what he was caught saying by SEC Network cameras.

Here’s the video below. It’s not hard to read Drinkwitz’s lips here:

Mizzou was a week removed from a 34-30 loss at South Carolina, but despite a first quarter, it eventually came away with the win to improve to 8-3 on the season as Marcus Carroll totaled 3 rushing touchdowns. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs, who were just 2-of-10 on third-down opportunities and lost the time of possession battle by a 2-to-1 margin, dropped to 2-9 and 0-7 in the SEC.

We’ll see if the Tigers can carry some momentum into the latest edition of the Battle Line Rivalry as Arkansas pays a visit to Columbia for the final regular-season game for both teams.
