Eli Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers will move forward into Week 2 with Brady Cook at the helm of the offense. Drinkwitz confirmed this to reporters on Tuesday.
Cook was good, not great in Missouri’s 35-10 win over South Dakota. He completed 17 of his 21 passes for 1 touchdown, also rushing for 17 yards and a touchdown. Against South Dakota, this is expected of him.
Drinkwitz did say Cook would get the nod against MTSU, but also revealed that the QB reps will not look the same as last week. In other words, expect Sam Horn to get some more run against the Blue Raiders.
Drink says Cook is the No. 1 QB moving forward and Horn will get reps but it won’t look the same as last week. Drink says he felt Cook was “efficient” and managed 2 min drill well… Horn “was solid also” in his first “extended action”.

Horn saw limited time on Thursday, throwing for 54 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception on 3/5 passing.
The Tigers take on MTSU at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+ this Saturday.
