Eliah Drinkwitz is a busy man, putting together his Missouri coaching staff while also recruiting with the Early Signing Period just days away. On Sunday, Mizzou made it official that defensive line coach Brick Haley will be staying with the Tigers.

“In my short time of being around Brick I know him to be a man of high character who gets the most out of his players,” Drinkwitz said in the announcement. “His wealth of knowledge with the defensive line is exactly what we’re looking for to motivate young men.”

Haley, who joined the MU staff in 2017, is excited to remain in Columbia.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue at Mizzou and I’m excited to work with Coach Drink and his staff,” said Haley. “Our family loves Mizzou and being part of the Columbia community, so we’re thrilled to keep stakes in the ground here and I’m looking forward to getting to work on doing great things,” he said.

A report earlier in the week identified Haley as one of three defensive assistants likely to be retained. Haley has been a college assistant head coach since 1990.
