Fans torch Mizzou, Dennis Gates following 'embarrassing' loss to previously winless Jackson State
Dennis Gates and the Missouri Tigers did not have a good night in Columbia.
The Tigers just lost 73-72 to Jackson State, which entered Sunday night’s clash with an 0-5 record on the season. The Tigers had yet to even keep it within 10 of their opponents entering tonight’s game against Mizzou.
This comes after the Tigers struggled heavily against Minnesota last Thursday, winning 70-68 in a game that came down to the wire.
Mizzou fans, to put it simply, were not happy postgame. Here’s some of the best reactions from social media following the Tigers’ ugly loss.
It is going to be very, very hard for any SEC group to top the nastiness of the loss Mizzou just took to this Jackson State team pic.twitter.com/nVMMYgTrg4

Jackson State was 0-5 with an average margin of defeat of 19.8 points.
Just went into CoMo and beat Mizzou.
Love this sport.

I love Dennis Gates. And anybody that turns on him after tonight ain’t a true fan.
But with that being said, whiffing on big names in the portal and then losing to 0-5 Jackson State on your home court is unacceptable. He’s gotta answer for this one.

Mizzou football and basketball cannot be good at the same time in order to keep balance in the universe.
