Another former Missouri player is heading to Denver.

On Thursday, the Denver Broncos announced that they have signed running back Damarea Crockett to their practice squad. Crockett played at Missouri from 2016-18 and was a teammate of two current Broncos offensive players — quarterback Drew Lock and tight end Albert Okwuegbunam — while with the Tigers.

Crockett rushed for 2,252 yards and had 21 total touchdowns during his three seasons at Missouri. He declared for the 2019 NFL draft, but he went undrafted and later signed with the Houston Texans. However, he was waived by the Texans during the preseason.

Last year, Crockett also spent time on the Raiders’ and Packers’ practice squads, but he never made it into a regular-season game for his NFL debut. He had still been with Green Bay up until last month, when he was released just before the 2020 season started.

This will be another opportunity for Crockett to prove himself, and he’ll have some former college teammates to potentially vouch for him with the Broncos.
