Malik Young, who was ruled academically ineligible to play at Missouri just five days ago, has found a new team.

That team is the Oregon Ducks.

Young gave the Ducks a verbal commitment, a source inside Oregon’s football program told DuckTerritory Wednesday morning.

Young can play for Oregon this season. He apparently arrived in Eugene late Tuesday night and is now on campus getting medically cleared and filling out paperwork to begin practicing with the team.

Five days ago, Mizzou head coach Barry Odom said, “we got confirmation from the NCAA that we’re going to help him go somewhere else … He won’t meet the qualifications to get here … He’s not going to look long for a place to go because he’s such a good person and a high-level player.”

It looks like Odom was right because Young has found a new home in under a week.
