Since 2001, the New England Patriots have been the class of the NFL, winning an impressive five Super Bowls, including last year’s come-from-behind thriller over the Atlanta Falcons.

The Pats have also dominated their AFC East foes, including former Mizzou DL Sheldon Richardson and the New York Jets.

However, according to NJ.com, Richardson said he enjoys playing against Brady and has told him he’s not allowed to retire until the Jets beat the Pats:

“I’ve told him before I’ve left the field, ‘Bro, don’t retire till I beat you,'” Richardson said at minicamp last week. “He laughed it off and kept going. It’s a pleasure to play against him. But he knows what I’m chasing, and he knows I’m trying to knock the king off his throne.”

Richardson will get his first chance at Brady and the Patriots in Week 6 of the 2017 season, when New England visits New York.

Richardson finished the 2016 season with only 1.5 sacks, despite playing in 15 games. He’ll need to do better than that this year if the Jets are going to knock off the reigning Super Bowl champions.
