Javian Hester was the top-rated player in Mizzou’s 2020 recruiting class, coming to Columbia via Tulsa, Oklahoma.

However, following spring practices this year, Hester entered the NCAA transfer portal. He amassed 12 catches for 225 yards and 2 touchdowns in 7 games for the Tigers this past season.

Now, he’s heading back to his home state. Hester took to Twitter this week to announce he was committing to Oklahoma to play for the Sooners:

Oklahoma is entering a new era under coach Brent Venables after Lincoln Riley left Norman for USC. Dillon Gabriel is expected to be the starting QB in 2022.

What sort of role will Hester carve out for himself with the Sooners? We’ll find out starting this fall.
