Joshua Manning, a 4-star wide receiver out of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, has announced a commitment to play in the SEC.

Manning committed to Missouri over the likes of Arkansas, Iowa State and Kansas State among 18 offers. He’s listed at 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, and is the No. 31 wide receiver in the class of 2023, while being the No. 8 player in the state of Missouri, according to the 247Sports Composite. Manning is the eighth player to commit to Missouri in its 2023 class.

Manning runs track and has posted an 11.15 in the 100-meter dash and a 22.21 in the 200-meter dash. He has a 24-5.5 long-jump and 48-5 triple-jump as well, according to 247Sports.

Manning officially visited Mizzou on June 24. He caught 69 passes last season for 900 yards and 11 touchdowns.

“I took a deeper dive into their offenses,” Manning told On3 Sports. “I love the quarterback at K-State, but I feel like the offense at Missouri fit me probably a little bit better. That was probably the deciding piece.”

“It’s my home state,” Manning said. “I’ve always drove past there. I was aware that that’s Missouri, so I feel a little bit more comfortable knowing that it was right down the road.”
