Louisiana Tech coach Sonny Cumbie views Missouri WRs as a serious challenge
Louisiana Tech opens its season at Missouri on Thursday night.
The Bulldogs are nearly 3-touchdown underdogs in the game, and new Louisiana Tech head coach Sonny Cumbie said one of the things that concerns him most about the Tigers is their collection of wide receivers, a group that includes highly touted 5-star freshman Luther Burden.
“I think that Luther Burden, the freshman that they have from East St. Louis, is a very, very talented freshman, and they had a deep receiving corps to start with,” Cumbie said. “Their receivers can really run. They’re talented. They’re going to try to play action and thrown the ball down the field. I think they’ll probably try to spread us out and create mismatches and get the ball to those guys in space.”

The Tigers and Bulldogs are set for a 8 p.m. (ET) kick off on Thursday night, the game will be televised by ESPNU.
