Luther Burden III kept the receipts.

John Nabors is a popular radio host in Arkansas covering Razorback sports. Back in July, Nabors shared that he feels Arkansas has been the better team in the Battle Line Rivalry, even though Mizzou has had the upper hand in the annual series. Nabors may have upset Burden, a former 5-star prospect, by sharing that he felt Arkansas had the more talented roster.

Friday night after Mizzou’s blowout win, Burden quoted video of Nabors’ SEC Media Days comments and used 4 of the emoji commonly interpreted as crying laughing.

Cody Schrader was the star of Mizzou’s 48-14 thumping, rushing 27 times for 217 yards. Burden, meanwhile, led the team in receiving yards with 6 catches for 55 yards.  Through 12 games, Burden has 83 catches for 1,197 yards and 8 touchdowns. The sophomore standout is a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award.

Burden and the Tigers look to be bound for a New Year’s Six bowl.  No. 9 Mizzou is 10-2 on the season. The final College Football Playoff selection committee rankings, to be released on Dec. 3, will decide the final 4 and NY6 lineup.
