Luther Burden didn’t receive a single touch on offense for the Missouri Tigers in a devastating loss at Auburn on Saturday.
That drew plenty of criticism on social media, especially since the 5-star freshman wide receiver was out there fielding punts during the game.
But, on Tuesday, coach Eli Drinkwitz provided an update on Burden, saying he was injured in the second quarter. He said after that point, Burden’s only job was to field punts:

As for this coming week against Georgia, Burden is considered questionable. Obviously, if the Tigers are going to have any chance whatsoever to take down the No. 1 team in the country, having Burden on the field is a must.
We’ll see if there’s any status change for Burden as the week goes on.
