Mekhi Wingo, transferring Mizzou DL, reveals top 4 schools, including 2 from SEC

Mekhi Wingo surprised many earlier this month when he announced he was entering the transfer portal after a solid first year at Mizzou.
Now, he’s apparently heard from a number of programs and has cut his list down to his top 4 schools.
As you can see below, 2 SEC programs — LSU and Arkansas — are still in the mix for Wingo’s services in 2022 and beyond:

Those 2 SEC teams will compete with Oklahoma and USC for Wingo’s services.
In 9 games as a freshman in 2021, Wingo recorded 27 tackles (2 for a loss), 1 sack and 1 interception, which he returned 40 yards for a touchdown. We’ll see where he ends up playing in 2022, but the future is bright for the former Tiger.
