Missouri added a 15th commitment to its class of 2022 when it received a pledge from an in-state kicker.

Springfield Kickapoo’s Nick Quadrini announced his commit to the Tigers, and he’s a kicker and a punter. The Tigers were ranked No. 6 in the SEC, and No. 18 in the country ahead of Quadrini’s commitment.

“Quadrini recently competed at the 2021 Midwest Spring Showcase Camp,” reads the most recent report on Quadrini from Kohl’s Kicking Service. “He has improved his punting and looked more confident in his ball striking on field goals. He scored 9 points in the field goal charting and was able to chart a big ball of 70 yards on kick offs. His kickoffs were consistent and showed excellent leg strength at his previous Showcase Camp.”

On the surface, it appears that Quadrini may enter the picture at Missouri as a kickoff specialist or punter, as the Tigers’ current players at those positions are a redshirt senior and a graduate transfer. Meanwhile, kicker Harrison Mevis is 8-for-8 this season, and has made 2 field goals from more than 50 yards.
