Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz is doing work in the portal, landing a pair of transfer pieces on Sunday.

The commitments come from defensive lineman Sterling Webb out of New Mexico State and running back Nate Noel out of Appalachian State. Both have been impact performers at their previous destinations and could be keys for the Tigers heading into 2024.

Webb was originally a lightly recruited DL out of Saint Louis in the 2022 recruiting class. However, he made an immediate impact with the Aggies and delivered 47 tackles, 8.5 TFL, 6 sacks and 2 forced fumbles in two seasons at New Mexico State.

Now, the 6-foot-2 and 295-pound Webb returns to Missouri via the Tigers:

Noel was originally a 3-star recruit in the 2020 recruiting class out of Miami’s Northwestern High School. He was a contributor across 4 seasons for the Mountaineers with over 3,000 career rushing yards, 5.7 yards per carry and 18 rushing touchdowns.

This past season, Noel rushed for 127 yards and 2 touchdowns against North Carolina out of the ACC. He could have a chance to carve out a role similar to the one Cody Schrader thrived in while with the Tigers.

With Noel and Webb now committed, Missouri is up to 9 transfer commitments for the cycle. That group is currently the 10th-ranked transfer class in the country according to 247 Sports.
