Missouri basketball added a big-time commitment on Thursday afternoon.

The Tigers landed Iowa State transfer Caleb Grill, who is a candidate to start for Dennis Gates’ squad next season. Grill is entering his 5th season of college basketball and started 22 games for the Cyclones last season.

Grill has had an interesting journey in college basketball. He began his career at Iowa State but then transferred to UNLV after his freshman season. Then, following one year with the Runnin’ Rebels, he transferred back to Iowa State and played the past 2 seasons there.

He will have 1 year of eligibility with the Tigers. He’s coming off of a career-year with the Cyclones where he scored 9.5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds per contest.

Grill is the 3rd guard transfer commitment Mizzou has added this offseason. Indiana transfer Tamar Bates and Colorado State transfer John Tonje are also in the fold.
